Whalom Amusement Park Vintage Whip Car New England Carnival Mangles

Here for your consideration is a full sized Mangles Whip Car that was from Whalom Park in Lunenburg, MA. The park closed down in 2000 and this car was part of its Whip Ride for many years. It was picked by a local Mass resident and I bought it from him about 5 years ago with designs on getting it refurbished, but the plan never came to fruition. It was too big and I bought a house so didn't have the extra time and money.
This is a rare item as there was only one Whip ride at the park and it had only a dozen or so cars. God knows what happened to the rest of them or if they ended up in a metal scrap yard.
It is being sold as is. Please see pictures for details. This is a full sized car so it's very heavy. It has a metal shell with the original #8 on the front. It does not have wheels or metal trim and bars. It does have seat as seen in picture 3. The seat pops out. It's in rough shape, but it's a cool part of amusement park history. The wood on the car is plywood and heavier stock and the heavier pieces are rotting from age and would have to be replaced. This would be a good project if you have the time or perhaps just put it in your yard as a cool looking lawn art planter.
It does not have a Mangles plate.
