    Description

    Beautiful vintage 1960's art print of the 1.5L Squire (1935 - 1936; only 7 Squires were made) by renowned automobile and motorcycle artist Hans Muth.  Framed and matted.  Print is 13 1/2" X 9 1/2"; framed it measures 17 1/2" X 13 1/2." Very Good condition, see photos. Frame show some wear from decades of use.
    Hans A. Muth was born in 1935 in Rathenow, Germany. After training as a toolmaker, graphic designer and designer, he first illustrated automotive catalogs for Porsche, Mercedes, Opel and VW. He drew design proposals for contemporary sports cars for the magazines of Motor Presse Verlag. In 1965 he began his career as a designer at Ford, in 1971 he moved to BMW to take over there as head designer, the responsibility for the interior and the motorcycle design.  Today, he trains young artists and designers at the Art Center College of Design in Switzerland.
