    National NC-173 Shortwave
    Radio Receiver. This Tube style model was taken with Thor Heyerdahl in 1947 on the Kon Tiki expedition. From a local Estate collection. Excellent condition, very clean, some scratches, Powers Up, Untested.
    A single conversion general coverage shortwave receiver that tunes:  0.54-1.6, 1.6-4.3, 4.3-12, 12-31 and 48-56 MHz. It also has bandspread for the 80, 40, 20, 11-10 and 6 meters amateur bands. Features include:  ź" headphone jack, S-Meter, antenna trimmer, RF Gain control, dial lamp, phono input, tone control, noise limiter, mute, AGC and hinged top cover. Six selectable bandwidths. This radio does
    not
    have a built-in speaker. The suggested optional speaker is the NC-173TS. Maybe referred to as the NC-173T indicating
