Description

This listing is for reproduction patches.
Legend City was an amusement park that existed on the border of Phoenix and Tempe, Arizona, from its opening in 1963 to its closing and demolition in 1983.
I have four
original
band uniforms from the early days.  One uniform still had a patch so I took it and
had patches made for the other three.  Due to the cost of the setup, I decided to have additional patches made and to try to sell a few.  I grew up in Phoenix and remember going to Legend City.
I went several times and by 1968-9 I do not remember seeing the band.  Legend City was not real profitable and the band probably only lasted a couple of years so the uniforms and patch are probably from the 1963-5 time.
It took me some time to find the best material from which to have the patches made.  My guess is that the patch that is on the uniform has darkened some and the ones that I am offering here are very close to what they would have looked like in 1963.
I have a picture of the original patch and the reproduction patch together so you can compare.  I think that they are very close.
The patches are 3 13/16" by 2 1/2".  Same as the original.
If you remember Legend City or collect
defunct
amusement park memorabilia, this patch is for you.
This listing is for iron-on patches.  I have a different listing for sew-on patches.
